Fresh Coconut and Strawberry Raita (Yogurt Dip)

Coconut and Strawberry Raita is a delicious Indian Raita, perfect cooling balance for any spicy dishes like biryani, sambhar rice, cracked wheat (dalia) and khichadi. It can be eaten alone or used as a dip or sauce.



Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup fresh coconut grated
  • 1 green chili
  • 1/2 cup thick home made yogurt (or organic or store bought)
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberry
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste
Method:
  • Take fresh grated coconut,  fresh home made yogurt and green chili in blender and blend till smooth.
  • Add salt, sugar and strawberry to yogurt mixture.
  • Mix well and your Raita (Yogurt Dip) is ready to serve.

Notes:
  • You can use pomegranate seeds instead of strawberry.
  • This Raita can be served with any spicy biryani, cracked wheat (delia), khichadi or pulao. It goes well with any meal.
  • You can also add some dry fruits to this Raita.
